Short-Term Programs ~ Transition

 

Transition

Transition Module (Recommend 1 week with 12 periods instruction)
The student will:
•  Complete in depth assessments in career interests and vocational choices.
•  Complete the Choices Interest Inventory
•  Explore career options based on student interests revealed in Choices Interest Inventory
•  Explore post-secondary requirement for careers of interest
•  Complete Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessment, which allows students to rate themselves
    in the area of daily living skills and scores them nationally to same age peers
•  Complete student portion of Transition Planning Inventory (family and teachers portions to be
    completed by district when student returns to district) which rates the student in the areas of
    Employment, Further Education/Training, Daily Living, Leisure Activities, Community Participation,
    Health, Self-Determination, Communication, and  Interpersonal Relationships.
In order to benefit from this module the student must be at least 14 years old.

Information and results of completed assessments will be forwarded to the district transition staff.
