NMSBVI Library Mission
The mission of the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Library is to provide
books and materials in print, Braille, large print, and audio formats
for New Mexico children with visual impairments
who attend our school and other schools in New Mexico, for their use at school and at home,
and for use by professionals who provide services for these children.

Get Caught Reading
NMSBI Reading Incentive Program ~ 2012-2013

Students: Get caught when reading for fun this year! Anywhere! Any time! Staff will be on the lookout! Peering around corners! Peeping through doorways! Hanging around the bushes! If they catch you reading, they will  fill out a "Got Caught Reading" slip with your name. The library will be collecting all those slips. We will count the slips in December and May. You will get to pick a special grab bag prize for every 10 slips. (Required reading for classroom lessons does not count.) Students who use audio books as their primary source will receive slips when actively listening to leisure time titles.

Staff: "Got Caught Reading" slips & slip return boxes will be available at the library, in the "Library Materials Return" tub in the Jack Hall mail room, with Carolyn Delone at Jack Hall, and with Vera Woolf in Administration. Or call or email June or Kris and they will fill out slips for you. Slips will be collected every week.

So… Students, get busy reading! And Staff, get busy catching!
